Google Tag Manager

This service allows you to manage website tags via an interface. The Google Tag Manager tool itself, which implements the tags, is a cookie-free domain. This means that cookies are generally not used and no personal data is recorded. Google Tag Manager runs other tags, which in turn can collect data. However, Google Tag Manager does not access this data. This technology is necessary for the basic functions of the website to work.

Google Analytics (analytical cookies)

We use Google Analytics 4 based on your consent and for the purpose of analyzing the use of the website. We use Google Analytics on the server side and initially collect the data ourselves. In a further step, we forward this information to Google, which will use this information on our behalf to analyze your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide us with further services related to the use of the website. Sessions and campaigns always end after a certain period of time. Personal user data is deleted or anonymized after 14 months, while the cookies set are stored for 24 months.

We also use the IP address anonymization function within Google Analytics. Google Analytics also uses the Google Signals analytical service, which helps to understand how users interact with the website from multiple devices and sessions. Google Ads (marketing cookies)

We use Google Ads services for remarketing based on your consent. Google Ads uses cookies to create conversion statistics for the Google Ads advertising program. Google’s remarketing service allows more targeted display of ads for our website, which are potentially more relevant to you personally. We are talking about “remarketing” when, for example, the user is shown ads for products for which he has shown interest on other websites. This does not apply if the user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without this pseudonymization. The information about the user collected by Google’s marketing services is automatically transmitted to Google and stored on Google’s servers.

Facebook Pixel (Meta Pixel) (marketing cookies)

We use the Facebook Pixel (“Meta Pixel”) based on your consent. This means server tracking using Google Tag Manager and other tracking technologies. In this way, the behavior of users can be tracked after they have viewed or clicked on an advertisement on Facebook. This process is used to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical purposes and for market research and can help optimize future advertising activities.

We receive the collected data in pseudonymized form and in principle we are not able to identify the user. However, Google stores the data and forwards it to Facebook and processes it there, so that a connection to a specific user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes. You can enable Facebook or its partners to display ads on and off Facebook. In addition, a cookie may be stored on your computer for these purposes.

In addition, Facebook Custom Audiences collects information about the use of the website and in this way Facebook can associate your data with a specific Facebook profile and display appropriate advertising activities there.

How to manage cookies?

Every visitor to our website can manage cookies for which consent is requested.

On every Valamar website, when you visit, you will be presented with a consent bar. cookie consent banner that will contain all the information about the cookies that are used on that specific page, and you will be able to give express consent for certain cookies. In order for the data in the cookie consent banner to be updated at all times and to be able to monitor the given consents, as well as their withdrawal, we use the Usercentrics Consent Management Plattform for managing consents for cookies. (Usercentrics GmbH,) Usercentrics consent management platform collects consent and opt-out data (ID, time, type), IP address, geographic location, referral URL, user preferences and language. These cookies enable Usercentrics GmbH to inform users about certain tags and internet technologies on our website and to obtain, manage and document user consent. The legal basis for data processing is our legal obligation to provide evidence of consent. Consent data (consent and withdrawal of consent) is stored for one year.
